Therapists and other professionals often refer their patients to SLAA or SLAA meetings for help. (if you have gained benefit from the SLAA program, feel free to copy this page and take it to your therapist or other professional)
It is generally the policy of SLAA that members attend meetings for their own benefit and that professionals are NOT to accompany clients to meetings. Some therapists hold mock 12 step meetings in order to introduce this concept to patients or clients, showing how and why 12 step meetings work.
If you are a therapist or other professional, please refer clients to meetings or to the telephone number listed on this website or in pamphlets. The most current information on meeting locations, times and dates is posted on this website (http://www.sacslaa.homestead.com/). This site is also designed to be printed and given to your clients. If a pamphlet and the site have different meeting or other information, please use the website as the most current and correct source of information.
If you are a professional wishing additional information about Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous or the Augustine Fellowship in general, feel free to print any of the website pages on this site. All pages are designed to be printed.
You can also order literature from SLAA. There is a literature package for professionals available from the Fellowship Wide Services at http://www.slaafws.org. They offer many pamphlets, handouts and news items for clients and/or patients. Here too you may find additional referral services for those in need, such as meetings in other areas or countries.
